Etsy Fees Explained — 2026 Seller Guide
Understand every Etsy fee — listing fees, transaction fees, payment processing, and offsite ads — and learn how to calculate your true profit on Etsy in 2026.
Etsy Fees Explained
Selling on Etsy can be profitable, but understanding the fee structure is critical to pricing your products correctly. Etsy charges several types of fees that affect your bottom line.
Listing Fee
Etsy charges $0.20 for each item you list. A listing remains active for four months or until it sells. If you have multiple quantities of the same item, the listing fee applies to each unit sold.
Transaction Fee
When you make a sale, Etsy takes 6.5% of the total order amount. This includes the item price, shipping costs, and any gift wrapping fees. The transaction fee is automatically deducted from your payment account.
Payment Processing Fee
Etsy Payments charges a processing fee of 3% plus $0.25 per transaction for US sellers. This fee varies by country — UK sellers pay 4% + £0.20, for example.
Offsite Ads Fee
If a customer finds your listing through Etsy’s Offsite Ads program, you pay an additional fee on that sale. For sellers who made less than $10,000 in the past 12 months, the fee is 15%. Sellers above $10,000 can opt out of Offsite Ads entirely.
Regulatory Operating Fee
In certain countries, Etsy charges a small regulatory operating fee (typically 0.25-1.1%) to cover costs associated with local regulations.
