Walmart Marketplace Fee Calculator
Referral fees by contract category, WFS fulfilment, and what actually reaches your account.
On a $30 order in a standard 15% contract category, Walmart takes $4.50 — a referral fee on gross sales, with no monthly subscription behind it. Rates run from 6% to 15% by category, and several categories change rate at a price threshold, so the category you list under moves your margin more than anything else here.

Ad economics
An order can pay at most its contribution — revenue after fees and variable costs — to win a customer. Spend more than that and the order is bought at a loss.
You can pay up to $10.50 per order in ads and still break even — currently $1.67.
How Walmart Marketplace fees work
Walmart Marketplace charges one main fee: a referral percentage on gross sales, set by the contract category your item sits in. There is no monthly subscription, which makes the maths unusually clean compared with platforms that mix a plan fee into the calculation.
What complicates it is the band structure. Some categories choose a single rate based on the item's price — apparel is 5% at $15 or less, 10% from $15 to $20, and 15% above — while others charge each rate on the slice of the price inside its band, the way Amazon does. The two produce meaningfully different fees on the same item, and Walmart publishes both. This calculator applies each category as written rather than averaging them.
If you use Walmart Fulfillment Services, add your per-unit fee and monthly storage: the per-unit charge lands on every order and storage stays monthly, so a slow month of sales does not hide a storage bill that arrives anyway.
